We believe that a child’s lifetime of happy, healthy smiles begins with a positive relationship with a pediatric dentist.
Dr. Dona Taheri, DDS is an American Board Certified Pediatric Dentist understands that you want to be involved in your child’s oral health – and she feels that parents are the best advocate for their children. That’s why you are always allowed to come back with your child for treatment. Neither you nor your child will be rushed through an appointment. We want you to be involved.
Dr. Taheri moved to the U.S. at age sixteen, and after completing her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at UCLA, she attended SUNY at Buffalo for Dental School.
She completed a one-year GPR at University of Louisville proceeding dental school and moved to Landstuhl, Germany and practiced as a civilian dentist for the U.S. Army for four years.
After practicing as a general dentist for seven years and her love treating for children, she completed a 2-year post-doctoral residency in pediatric dentistry at UT Health San Antonio. Her passion is treating children with special healthcare needs, specifically those with craniofacial anomalies and cleft lip and palate.
Along with her team, Dr. Taheri delivers compassionate and individualized care with the goal to inspire children to value their oral health as it contributes to their overall health. Together they ensure that parent and their little ones visit is fun, gentle, and informative.
